Case: "Eleanor"

Project Type: Automotive Design

The Thalon group undertook an extremely exciting project together with artist Krister Karlsson, now at Modesty. The aim was to reinstall the legendary 'Eleanor' from 'Gone in 60 Seconds' and adapt the jaw dropping design to the new model of Fords Mustang car.

Challenge

Living up to the expectation and standard of such a legend is no easy feat. The original car from 1967 has a sleeker body, whereas the new version from 2005 is more sturdy and robust in its appearance. This had to be taken into account at the same time as it was crucial to stay true to the original design ideas.

Solution

The combined understanding in everyones mind of how the final car was going to look like was achieved by detailed 3d renderings of the new design. Equipped with extremely low end tools and a great deal of inventiveness and imagination the project was completed in four months at an exceptionally low cost.

Result

The appreciation from the crowd and public reached no end at the shows, fairs and articles it appeared in. Orders have exceeded everyones expectations.
